MASSIVE: THE POWER OF POP CULTURE

MASSIVE was born from a simple idea: pop culture is not passive. It is a living force that shapes identity, reflects society, and connects people across time and place. What began as a gallery of iconic objects evolved into an immersive experience that treats culture as something we participate in, not just observe.

Created in partnership with Rosie Alyea, Creative Director, and Amalia Kozloff, Senior Curator. All exhibit photography belong to MoPOP.

CULTURE IN MOTION

The exhibition brings together music, film, fashion, gaming, and fandom to show how ideas move, grow, and take on meaning through collective engagement. Designed to balance moments of scale with personal stories, MASSIVE invites visitors to see themselves within culture, not outside of it.

DESIGNING FOR BELONGING

The final gallery balances scale and intimacy to make pop culture feel personal and inclusive. It establishes MoPOP as a contemporary voice in cultural storytelling, focused on the forces that shape who we are.
